Wiltshire coronavirus cases are continuing to fall

According to the latest figures, between September 8 and September 15, 45 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the Wiltshire Council area.

The same time last week, between September 1 and September 8, the number was 82.

The decrease in cases can also be seen in figures relating to the seven days to September 13, showing cases go down to 41 from a total of 95 in the previous seven days (from August 30 to September 6).

Here are the figures for the latest weekly period:

September 8 – September 15

September 1 – September 8

Cases: 82

Data for the most recent three days (September 16-18) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.

The figures are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).
