The 10 places in Wiltshire with the highest Covid case rates

The areas of Wiltshire, excluding Swindon, with the highest infection rates of coronavirus have been revealed.

In the past few weeks, rates and cases have soared to record numbers both locally and nationally, prompting the Government to introduce a third national lockdown earlier this week.

Although vaccinations in the community are to be ramped up in the next few days – in Wilton and Tidworth they are already underway – the rule for us all remains ‘Stay at Home’.

In Wiltshire and in Salisbury, there are a number of areas now classed as hotspots on the government coronavirus dashboard due to their case rates rising above 400 per 100,000.

Theses are the 10 places in the Wiltshire Council area with the highest rates based on figures from Public Health England from the week ending on January 3:

  • Salisbury Bemerton (53 cases; +29 on previous week; rolling rate of 777.9)
  • Salisbury Bishopdown (48 cases; +27 on previous week; rolling rate of 718.6)
