Further Covid death at Salisbury hospital but admissions are down

Another Salisbury District Hospital patient has died having tested positive for coronavirus.

A man in his 60s with underlying health conditions died on March 13.

His death brings the hospital’s Covid death toll since the pandemic began to 208.

A spokesperson from Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time.”

As of 7.30am today (March 15), four inpatients who have tested positive for Covid are being cared for at the city’s hospital.
