BBC TV show Crimewatch Live will warn the public about a sex attacker who targeted a teenager in Salisbury last year.
The teenage girl was sexually assaulted in Churchill Gardens in Salisbury in the middle of the day back in October 2020.
Nearly five months on, Wiltshire Police officers are still actively investigating this case.
Now the force has revealed an appeal for information about the attack will be featured on the BBC’s Crimewatch Live on Wednesday, March 17.
It’s hoped the national television audience will offer new leads in the hunt for the man responsible.
At around 2.30pm on October 27, the victim was approached and grabbed from behind by a man she didn’t know, as she walked along the path leading into Churchill Gardens.
Officers have previously released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the assault, pictured above.
The suspect has been described as a white middle-aged man of medium build with light grey hair.
He was wearing a smart black coat with grey or dark trousers and smart shoes.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed their appeal for help will be shown during Crimewatch Live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, starting at 11am on March 17.
