Covid-19 update from Salisbury Hospital, February 21, 2021

NO new Covid-19 deaths have been recorded at Salisbury District Hospital for two days.

Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of patients to have died onsite, after testing positive for the coronavirus, is 194.

This has been confirmed to the Journal by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (NHSFT).

Meanwhile Fiona Hyett, deputy director of nursing at Salisbury NHSFT, has revealed that the 10,000 Covid-19 vaccination milestone has been reached at Salisbury City Hall, which turned into a vaccination clinic last month.

Posting on Twitter earlier today, she said: “10,000 vaccinations milestone reached at Salisbury City Hall VC this morning. Big shout out to all the team who have worked so hard to make this happen.”

According to Government data, as of 4pm yesterday, February 20, 15,908 people in the Wiltshire Council area have had Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
